WELCOME
Thank you for choosing to join our ministry as a part of a Short-Term Mission Trip. We are excited that your team will be on campus and grateful for your assistance. Our short-term volunteers make a huge difference in what we can accomplish during the year and assist us in providing quality facilities for the students and families we serve.

ON-CAMPUS VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
All volunteers desiring to be on campus must complete the online On-campus Volunteer Application.

HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE
When you arrive on-campus, all volunteers must be able to pass our Health Screening Questionnaire and temperature check. Please know, that you will be asked three health questions when you arrive on campus. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, or if you have a temperature of 100.4 or greater, you will be asked to leave campus immediately. The questions are as follows:

 Have you traveled out of the country within the last 14 days?
Have you had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (to include fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing)?

HOUSING
Your team will be housed in our Bunk House which sleeps 16 on one side and 12 on the other. The 920 Kitchen has been reserved for you as a place to fix meals and hang out.

TOOLS

We can provide the following tools needed for this project. If you are able to bring any of your own tools/equipment it could help the project go faster.
 Paint clothes
• We will provide rollers, brushes, and paint

 Reusable/Disposable Facemask (COVID protocols are always changing, so just bring one with you!
 Sleeping Bag/Bedding & Pillow (please put into a trash bag to keep clean)
 Soap
 Towel
 Washrag
 Toiletries
 Water bottle
DO NOT BRING TOBACCO (Cookson Hills is a tobacco-free campus)

Many workgroups ask if there are needs items they can bring on their visit. The answer is ‘yes’ and you can find a current list HERE!

NOTE: Projects are subject to change per the greatest need of the ministry.

Trip Updates

  • PHOTO & SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
    Due to security and privacy policies, mission team members are not allowed to post or take photos of placed students.

  • CELL COVERAGE
    Please be aware that coverage in our rural area is spotty. Those connecting via Verizon are more apt to have coverage than those using AT&T.

  • WIFI ACCESS
    Wi-Fi is available to our guests in the Dining Hall and Gym.

     

  • DRESS CODE
    Please adhere to our Cookson Hills dress code while on campus. Always be sure to dress safely for the project you are working on!

    • Clothing shall reveal no belly, no back, no cleavage, no crack. 
    • Undergarments are required but they may not be seen. 
    • Shorts should be at least fingertip length when standing.
    • Modest tank tops are just fine!  No spaghetti straps though, please.
