Christian Respite Houseparents

Cookson Hills is seeking a full-time respite houseparent couple willing to serve by partnering with our primary houseparents. The ideal respite houseparent couple will fill a role similar to an aunt and uncle by providing for the daily needs of a group of kids while their primary houseparents are on “days off.” Respite houseparents work alongside other team members to ensure continuity in care, providing the holistic opportunity each child needs for a mature life.

General requirements:

  • At least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Baptized believer
  • Active participant in a New Testament church
  • Relatively debt free
  • Physically fit and active
  • No more than four children in the home
  • Pass a thorough background check
