Benita first found Cookson Hills while she and her husband were searching for a way to minister together. Once they landed on the Cookson Hills website, they could not wait to be a part of the team at Cookson Hills, serving kids who are at-risk. Benita has been with Cookson Hills since 2011, beginning as a Houseparent. After taking a short break from 2016 to 2018, she joined the Maintenance & Grounds department. Benita has a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in pre-counseling from Trinity Bible College. Outside of the office, you can often find Benita with her husband and children reading, baking, hiking, playing music, and just being together! They have even been known to turn their on-campus home into a 50’s diner, hosting families on campus for an evening of burgers, jazz, and milkshakes!
