Jay Wakefield

Jay and his wife Ashley had been working as houseparents at another facility when our position was eliminated due to COVID-19. Once they came across Cookson Hills, they fell in love with the ministry and applied for the role here. Jay and Ashley joined our team in May of 2021.
When describing his role, Jay said, “I am a conduit of the love of Jesus for children who have been placed in my care. I see it as stewardship of His children for the season God has me in. I love knowing I’m smack dab in the middle of God’s will.” If you’re looking for Jay on campus, you will likely find him watching movies, or playing board/video games with his family.
