Rachel joined Cookson Hills in 2014, and after two years of serving as a houseparent, Rachel became the Executive Assistant. Today, she supports the Executive Director and many other departments of Cookson Hills. Rachel loves interacting with our donors and potential employees, helping them learn more about the ministry. Her favorite day of the year is Hilltop because it gives everyone an opportunity to witness the efforts of the staff and the accomplishments of our amazing students! Her attention to detail, thoroughness, love for people, and knowledge of editing are just a few of the skills Rachel brings to the table. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English, Chemistry, and ESL from Abilene Christian University. Rachel now works for Cookson Hills remotely, as she, her husband, Alan, and children Kaleb, Paizlee, and Anna relocated to Alabama. When she’s not video-conferencing or answering emails, she might be homeschooling her three kids, exploring new places in Alabama, or planning a trip back to her home state of Montana.
