Christian Houseparents

Cookson Hills is accepting applications for full-time houseparents willing to serve by partnering with families to give children love, education, and healing. The ideal houseparent candidates fill a surrogate parent role by providing for the daily needs of the child. Houseparents work alongside teachers, social workers, and other team members in specialized therapeutic setting to ensure we are providing the holistic opportunity each child needs for a mature life.

• Married Christian couple
• Teachable, team-oriented, organized, and even-tempered

General requirements:

  • At least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Baptized believer
  • Active participant in a New Testament church
  • Relatively debt free
  • Physically fit and active
  • No more than four children in the home
  • Pass a thorough background check
